John’s campaigning expertise was honed over three decades of directing political campaigns, culminating in Tony Blair’s 1997 and 2001 victories when John managed Labour’s regional and field staff.
John is an innovator in campaign research and communications, devising new approaches to opinion analysis, segmentation and message delivery that became the norm. Since founding bbm, John’s ability to understand what motivates people has been applied to business campaigns for ASDA, Heathrow, Smart Energy UK and other major infrastructure projects.
John has a Masters in Marketing, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and the Market Research Society.
Mark negotiated national industry agreements as a trade union officer before bringing his abilities as a communicator and campaign manager to BBM.
Mark uses his understanding of membership organisations to build successful coalitions for change, securing endorsements from businesses, charities and unions for campaigns as diverse as the Scotland Referendum and telecommunications market reform.
Mark was formerly deputy leader of a London borough council, overseeing a whole-organisation transformation programme and public sector reform.
He uses his experience of complex organisations and attracting support from a diverse range of stakeholders to advise campaigns on successfully engaging and motivating local communities.
Gez specialises in media management for campaigns, especially in creating stories that make national news. He provides Board level counsel on media relations, communications strategy and reputation management.
Gez was head of HM Treasury’s Economy Communications Centre during the banking crash, advising the Chancellor of the Exchequer and serving as Secretary to the National Economic Council's communications committee.
Gez was a director at award-winning consumer PR agency Geronimo following public sector communications director roles from 1997 to 2007. A trained journalist, he was head of press and broadcasting for the Labour Party under Neil Kinnock and John Smith.
Vicky creates impactful, considered design that brings BBM’s campaigns to life. From the conceptualisation and creation of corporate ID to refreshing an existing brand, Vicky works closely and empathically with our clients and is committed to turning good ideas into fantastic end results.
Vicky’s art direction and design work is used for print and digital advertising, direct mail and e-shots, leaflets and newspapers and campaign posters, as well as social media content, presentations, infographics and app/web design.
